Biography/Statement

Dr. Russell is a Head and Neck Endocrine Surgeon who specializes in the treatment of thyroid and parathyroid pathology. His focus is on the application of novel technologies to improve patient outcomes in thyroid and parathyroid care. As the Director of Endoscopic and Robotic Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery at Johns Hopkins, he leads the largest series of remote access transoral thyroid and parathyroid cases in North America. He was also part of the first team of Head and Neck Surgeons in North America to offer RadioFrequency Ablation (RFA) for thyroid tumors, and is the Director of the Multidisciplinary Johns Hopkins Thyroid Tumor Center.
