I was born in England and lived abroad for the first 15 years of my life. ? My family moved to New Jersey where I finished high school. ? I graduated from the University of Rochester with high distinction in Biology and Public Health. ? I also received the Rush Rhees academic scholarship for all four years of my education. ? I then matriculated to Chicago Medical School, where I graduated as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha. ?
Beyond academics, I have a passion for research, which started as an undergraduate, and continued through medical school and residency. ? I was one of two people who graduated medical school with Research Honors. ? ?Thus far, I have been fortunate to have published 15 peer reviewed papers and 2 book chapters. ? I have also won several research awards including top three finishes in the annual resident research competition. ?
I also developed a passion for teaching and leadership early on. ? During my undergraduate years, I am proud to have won multiple leadership and teaching awards and was inducted into the Keidaean Honor Society ?? An honor limited to 15 students per year based on academic performance, leadership, and contributions of service to the University. ? This passion continued through medical school, where I was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for modelling qualities of integrity, compassion and altruism. ?In residency, my commitment to teaching medical students led to me being appointed as a Clinical Instructor to the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine Of Case Western Reserve University, which is a faculty position. ?
