AHNS Fellowship Match

Congratulations to the AHNS FY2026-2027 Fellowship Class!

The Fellowship Application for FY2027-2028 Fellowships will open on December 22, 2025.

For Fellowships beginning: July 2027
Application Period: Monday, December 22, 2025 – Monday, March 16, 2026
Interview Period: Monday, March 2, 2026– Monday, June 22, 2026
Ranking list opens for Programs and Applicants: Monday, June 22, 2026
Ranking list closes: Monday, July 6, 2026
Match results announced: Friday, July 10, 2026

Eligibility

Applicants who completed their medical education in the US or Canada must be board eligible for one of these three ABMS boards – The American Board of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery, the American Board of Surgery, or the American Board of Plastic Surgery or these equivalent boards in Canada.

International applicants who completed their medical education outside the US or Canada will be considered “International Track” applicants and are required to have completed (or in the process of completing) a non ACGME-approved or non RCPSC-approved residency in Otolaryngology, General Surgery, or Plastic Surgery (Head and Neck Fellowships) and Otolaryngology and General Surgery (Head and Neck Endocrine Fellowships). Applicants for the International Track must submit Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) certification and documentation of residency training in Otolaryngology, General Surgery, or Plastic Surgery as appropriate for the fellowship applied for with the expectation of completion of that training by the expected fellowship start date of the corresponding match cycle in order to participate in the match.

AHNS Membership Requirement

Letters of Recommendation

Letters of recommendation for AHNS Fellowship Applications can be submitted to the applicant directly, OR to the AHNS Administrative Office on the new ATC Letter of Recommendation Submission form–  We will upload the letter to the application.

Additional Programs Form

If you have completed and submitted your application for the FY2026-27 Fellowship year and would like to add additional programs to your list to receive your materials, please use The Additional Program Form. Each additional application costs $15, and you’ll be able to pay that fee in the form. We will send your application to the newly requested programs as soon as we receive your request.

AHNS Accredited programs are invited to list their fellowship interview dates on this calendar – they are not required to list them, and names of interview candidates will not appear – The Fellowship Interview Calendar is for general information only.
