Salary Range: Assistant Professor: $320,000- $455,000 per year Associate Professor: $400,000- $600,000 per year; Professor: $455,000- $650,000 per year

 

The University of Chicago's Department of Surgery, Section of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, seeks full-time faculty members at any rank. Appointees will specialize in the treatment of benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck with responsibilities to support and complement the faculty in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the Hyde Park location and affiliated satellites. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications. The Section of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery has a rich history, matched only by our ongoing commitment to excellence in medical education, research, patient care, and service to our community.

Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the States of Illinois and Indiana, 3) be board certified or eligible by the American Board of Otolaryngology or equivalent, and 4) have completed an accredited fellowship or equivalent training in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology.
