American Head and Neck Society Dr. Eddie Méndez Fellowship Award Mentor

The AHNS Foundation and Diversity Service are seeking Mentors for the Eddie Méndez Research Fellowship Award. The Medical Student application deadline is October 20, 2025. Additional award information and the application form can be found here.

We are seeking AHNS members engaged in ALL aspects of head and neck research:  basic and/or translational science, cancer disparities, population health, community engagement and/or clinical research.

AHNS members interested in supporting a medical student for 1-year are asked to provide the following:

  • A brief description of your research interests including potential project(s) ideally suited for a one-year research rotation.
  •  Contact information
  •  NIH biosketch may also be provided but is not required.

This information will be uploaded on the AHNS website to allow students to determine interested faculty, areas of research, and facilitate further contact between potential mentors and mentees.
