Development Service Process for Evaluating Projects Requiring Funding

The AHNS Development Service, along with the Foundation have been charged with the responsibility of reviewing projects proposed within the society, which will subsequently be reviewed by the appropriate division and approved by the Executive Committee to ensure the following:

  • Projects are in alignment with the strategic goals of the society
  • Projects receive equal consideration
  • Funding requests to industry are coordinated through the Development Service and the Foundation

Requests can be submitted at any time and will be evaluated twice yearly in advance of the Annual Meeting and AAO.  The Development Service will review the requests, make their recommendations and forward those onto the chair of the appropriate Division.  The Division leadership will further evaluate the request and make a recommendation to the Executive Committee in advance of the meetings noted above.  The Executive Committee will consider the recommendations and will determine which projects can be moved forward.
