Andrew J. Nemechek, MD, FACS is board-certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and is fellowship-trained in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery. Dr. Nemechek serves as the medical director of the multidisciplinary head and neck tumor program at the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Swedish Medical Center.  His clinical interests include treating patients tumors the oral cavity and throat structures (larynx and pharynx), thyroid and parathyroid glands, salivary organs, and patients with HPV-related malignancies. He also treats patients with advanced cutaneous malignancies, including malignant melanoma. Additionally, he has a strong interest in designing healthcare delivery models and shaping system-wide policies vital to improving healthcare delivery across diverse and at-risk populations.

Dr. Nemechek earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine, where he also completed training in general surgery and otolaryngology. He completed a combined research and clinical fellowship in advanced head and neck oncologic surgery at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr. Nemechek has been awarded his Master of Science degree in healthcare delivery at the Tuck School of Business and The Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice at Dartmouth College.
