I obtained my bachelors of science degree in Biomedical Engineering as well as medical degree at the University of Alabama in Birmingham (UAB). I subsequently completed a residency in Otolaryngolog-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). I then transitioned into the role of the inaugural fellow in head and neck surgical oncology, surgery of the thyroid and parathyroids, transoral robotic surgery, and microvascular reconstruction also at UAMS. I subsequently joined Greater Knoxville ENT in Knoxville, Tennessee and and became the first ENT trained head and neck surgeon to perform microvascular reconstruction at the University of Tennessee Medical Center - Knoxville (UTMCK). I developed an ENT Oncology Program during my 2.5 years in the region before taking on my current role as Assistant Professor, Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. I hope to add to the already present head and neck cancer care in the region utilizing the knowledge and skills I have acquired throughout my training.
