Dr. Park is a board-certified otolaryngologist and a fellowship trained head and neck cancer surgeon. He obtained his medical degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He completed his residency at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine and completed a head and neck fellowship at the University of Washington in 2012. He joined the faculty at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in 2013 and is currently an Associate Professor. He has been in practice for over 10 years and has been at New Jersey Medical School for his entire career building the robotics program and the microvascular reconstructive program as well as the head and neck cancer program. He serves as the Director of Transoral Robotic Surgery (TORS) at New Jersey Medical School across multiple hospitals, as well as the Director of Head and Neck Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery. He has recently been named the Division Chief of Head and Neck Cancer Surgery at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center. Dr. Park enjoys treating all head and neck tumors, with an interest in thyroid cancers, parotid tumors, as well as oral cavity cancers and HPV positive oropharyngeal cancers. He has a special interest in using 3D printing and virtual surgical planning for his osseous reconstructions of the head and neck. Dr. Park also has a tremendous amount of experience in using the single port (SP) DaVinci robot to resect HPV positive cancers in the oropharynx. Dr. Park is also the Quality and Safety Officer for the department and runs the monthly Quality Improvement Conference.
