Global Outreach

Charge:

The Global Outreach Service has the goal to develop and promote global outreach activities in head and neck oncology worldwide.

Objective:

The AHNS Global Outreach Service objective is to:

  • Coordinate the efforts for doctors who wish to volunteer abroad
  • Develop web-based listing and links for global opportunities and organizations worldwide
  • Identify underdeveloped countries and assess the role of reduced membership fees for potential members who participate with AHNS global efforts

AfHNS (African Head and Neck Society) Scholarship Award:

The purpose of AfHNS Award on behalf of AHNS is to recognize individuals who inspire and promote head and neck surgeons in Sub-Saharan Africa north of South Africa.

AfHNS Awardees:

2025: AfHNS Fellowship Program in development

2020: Postponed due to COVID-19 International Travel Bans
