The AHNS Basic and Translational Science Committee of the Research Division, is pleased to present a free webinar on:

Immunotherapy for Mucosal HNC – Discussion of the Current Landscape and Visions for the Future.

Date: Wednesday, March 27, 2024

Panelists: Ravindra Uppaluri; Clint T. Allen; Sana Karam; and Tullia C. Bruno

Objectives:

  1. Identify the current state and application of immune checkpoint inhibitors in the head and neck squamous cell carcinoma clinical practice.
  2. Describe emerging concepts in understanding the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors and implementation in the neoadjuvant, adjuvant, and metastatic/recurrent setting.
  3. Articulate the limitations of immunotherapy in head and neck cancer treatment and discuss the future potential.

The webinar will cover key topics such as:

  1. Neoadjuvant anti-PD1 therapy impact on T cell dynamics and clinical implications- Dr. Ravindra Uppaluri
  2. Abrogation of TGF-b-associated tissue residency of tumor-specific T cells to enhance systemic immunity in head and neck cancer– Dr. Clint Allen
  3. Integration of Radiation and Immunotherapy– Dr. Sana Karam
  4. Leveraging B cells inside and outside of tertiary lymphoid structures for improved immunity in head and neck cancer– Dr. Tullia Bruno
