Biography/Statement

Dr Enepekides has dedicated his career to the treatment of complex malignancies of the head, neck and skull base and to the reconstruction of complex deformities of the head and neck. He completed his undergraduate degree, medical degree, and residency at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Following his residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery he went on to complete two fellowships, one at Hahnemann University Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA (microvascular reconstructive surgery); and another at the University of California – Davis in Sacramento California (Head and Neck Oncology/Skull Base Surgery). He subsequently joined the department of Otolaryngology at UC Davis Medical Center where he was an Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, co-director of Head and Neck Oncology, and Chief of Otolaryngology at the Northern California VA Medical Center. He then returned to Canada where he joined the University of Toronto’s department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Enepekides is currently an associate professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He is the Chief of the Department of Otolaryngology at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and the Chief of the division of Surgical Oncology at the Odette Cancer Centre. He is also a Surgical Oncology Regional Lead for Cancer Care Ontario.
