Biography/Statement

Dr. Erin Buczek is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. She earned her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. She then completed a fellowship in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery at the University of Alabama Birmingham where she also completed her residency. Dr. Buczek is dedicated to novel techniques and innovations in the treatment of head and neck endocrine (thyroid/parathyroid) diseases and head and neck tumors. This includes using cutting edge laryngeal monitoring techniques to maximize voice outcomes during thyroid surgery. She also utilizes in-office procedures such as ultrasound guided biopsies and radiofrequency ablation to diagnose and treat thyroid disease. Dr. Buczek is committed to multidisciplinary, patient-centered care to maximize treatment, patient satisfaction and quality of life.
