CURRENT POSITION:
Vincent Vander Poorten, MD, PhD, MSc (Epid): Consultant, Full Professor and Clinical Head of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the University Hospitals Leuven, Leuven, Belgium; Section head of the section Head and Neck Oncology of the Department of Oncology of the faculty of Medicine at KU Leuven.

MEMBERSHIPS:
The Netherlands Epidemiological Society, The Royal Belgian Society for Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, the Netherlands Society for Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery, AHNS and its Endocrine Section, Flemish Head and Neck Society, IAOO, IHNSG, IFHNOS, ESGS, EAFPS, IAES, AOCMF, BAHNO, and the EHNS. Biography/Statement

Jeffson Chung, MD received his medical degree from the School of Medicine at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario.  He completed a residency in otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the University of Ottawa, and is certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.  Dr. Chung then went on to the University of Alberta, where he completed a fellowship in advanced training in head and neck oncologic surgery sponsored by the American Head & Neck Society.

Dr. Chung specialized in head and neck cancers, transoral robotic surgery, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, and has expertise in microvascular free flap reconstructions.  He has research interests in survival and functional outcomes in cancer, the impact of technology on an otolaryngology practice, and the implementation of telemedicine in otolaryngology.

Biography/Statement

I am Associate Professor of Otorhinolaryngology/ Head & Neck Surgery at the Mayo Clinic, College of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida.

My clinical and research interests include benign and malignant diseases of the Head & Neck area, including the skin and Skull Base region. In addition, my practice involves head and neck endocrine surgery as well as microvascular reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation for head and neck surgical defects with an emphasis on optimizing functional outcomes for patients.

Biography/Statement

Dr. Bevan Yueh is Professor and George L Adams Chair for Otolaryngology. He is a native of Minnesota, and was delighted to return to Minnesota in 2007. Dr. Yueh is a head & neck surgeon, and his practice is focused on the ablation of H&N tumors. As a former Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholar, he has expertise in clinical epidemiology and health services research, with special focus on maximizing the quality of life of patients after treatment for head & neck cancer.

Dr. Yueh is the Executive Vice Chair of the Board for the University of Minnesota Physicians. Nationally, he is President of the Association of Academic Departments of Otolaryngology, the Treasurer for the American Head & Neck Society, and a member of the executive editorial board of JAMA Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery.

Biography/Statement

Dr. Elizabeth Blair is a highly regarded surgeon who specializes in head and neck surgery. Dr. Blair is an expert in the diagnosis and treatment of head and neck cancer, thyroid and parathyroid disease and cancer, salivary gland tumors and skull base tumors, as well as malignant melanoma and other skin cancers. She has a special interest in treating patients with voice and laryngeal disorders ranging from hoarseness to vocal cord paralysis. Dr. Blair’s research interests include management of laryngeal and voice disorders, functional outcomes of patients treated for head and neck cancer, and development of organ preservation therapies for head and neck malignancies. She also has an interest in early diagnosis and prevention of head and neck cancer, and survivorship of Head and Neck Cancer.
