Biography/Statement

Dr. Mohebati received his medical degree and residency training from the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He has fellowship training in head and neck surgical oncology from Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Dr. Mohebati is a board certified surgeon, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the American Head and Neck Society and a member of American Thyroid Association. He is fluent in Farsi. His practice focus is on the management of thyroid cancer and parathyroid disease, melanoma and head and neck cancer.

Biography/Statement

Dr. Hararah is currently a clinical fellow at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Head & Neck Oncologic Surgery and Reconstructive Microsurgery.  He trained at the University of Colorado, Denver in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery. 

Originally from San Francisco, CA, he attended UC Berkeley and obtained his BA in Molecular & Cell Biology and Arabic Literature. He worked extensively in clinical research and traveled to the east coast where he earned an MPH from the prestigious Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. He then moved to the midwest where he earned his medical degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. He now currently resides in New York City for fellowship with his family (wife and 2 children).

Biography/Statement

Christopher Le, MD, FACS is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery with a joint appointment in the Department of Neurosurgery and is the Co-Director of the Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery Fellowship. He is a surgeon with expertise in disorders of the nasal cavity, paranasal sinuses, and anterior skull base. He treats children and adults with medical conditions that include nasal obstruction, sinus infections, benign and malignant sinonasal tumors, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks through the nose, and skull base tumors. He partnered with the Allergy/Immunology and Pulmonology physicians to develop the Center for Sinus and Allergic Disease to provide comprehensive clinical and surgical care to patients with chronic sinus and airway disease. Dr. Le also teamed up with Neurosurgery and the University of Arizona Cancer Center to create the Center of Sinonasal and Skull Base Tumors to offer comprehensive management of sinonasal and skull base tumors. As a skilled sinus and skull base surgeon, he uses minimally invasive endoscopic sinus surgeries to treat sinus disease and endoscopic and open skull base surgery to treat sinonasal and skull base tumors.

Dr. Le graduated summa cum laude from the University of California, Davis, with a degree in Biochemistry, and was awarded the prestigious full-tuition Regents Scholarship. He then obtained his medical degree from Loma Linda School of Medicine. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of California, Davis, followed by a Rhinology and Skull Base Surgery fellowship at the University of Arizona under the mentorship of nationally renowned surgeon, Alex Chiu, MD. He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Le has co-authored over 25 combined peer reviewed research articles and book chapters. He has given over 50 presentations at medical conferences and academic teaching hospitals nationally and internationally. He has been awarded multiple research grants for studies aiming to enhance medical education and healthcare delivery. He currently is a Principal Investigator of a multi-institutional study evaluating treatment outcomes of advanced stage nasal and paranasal sinus cancers. His research interest includes improving healthcare outcomes for patients with chronic sinus disease and sinonasal malignancies.

Biography/Statement

Tomasz Zatoński. Head of the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery Department at the Wrocław Medical University. Vice-Rector for University Communications at the Wrocław Medical University.

Actively involved in the otolaryngology head and neck surgery field of medicine since 1997. My special scientific interests include the role of HPV infection in head and neck cancer, head and neck surgical oncology, endolaryngeal microsurgery of the larynx, tumors markers, and mechanisms of carcinogenesis

Author and contributor in various well-published papers, including publications in journals with high impact factor like Environmental Pollution, The Lancet Planetary Health, GeroScience, and others. (IF=107,525, H-index=9)

My most recent work has revolved around the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on otolaryngological practice, which, according to PubMed, was the first and most often cited publication concerning the problem. Another subject of my recent research is the impact of pro-health behavior and environmental factors on the otolaryngological state of children in preschool and scholar age.

Author of many papers and lectures concerning air pollution in Poland. Involved in smog reduction in Wrocław and Lower Silesia. Leader of the PURE Air pollution team.

President and founder of the “Run for Health” non–profit foundation. The originator and director of the cyclic event “Medical University 10km Run”. An enthusiast of running, triathlete. A person recognized by the inhabitants of Wrocław and its surroundings as animator and promoter of mass pro-health campaigns for children and adults.

Principal investigator, author of the idea, and head of PICTURE (PopulatIon CohorT StUdy of WRoclaw CitizEns) project.

Research interests include:

– the role of HPV infection in head and neck cancer

–       head and neck surgical oncology

–       endolaryngeal microsurgery of larynx

–       tumors markers

–       mechanisms of carcinogenesis
