Head and Neck Surgeon, Reconstructive Head & Neck Surgery

Biography/Statement

I have been working as one of the faculty and professors at the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the Ohio State University, since 2006. My focus is on minimally invasive head and neck surgeries including transoral robotic surgery (TORS) and their reconstruction. I have been rated among the top cancer doctors and otolaryngologists and top physicians for patient satisfaction in the nation. I’m so proud of to be part of the OSUCCC – The James team working toward a cancer-free world. I believe with our advanced research methods and individualized patient treatment approach we are poised to accomplish that lofty goal. I established one of the first TORS programs worldwide at OSU and performed the first transaxillary robotic thyroidectomy in Central Ohio. I’m currently conducting clinical trials that compare the quality of life benefits of the TORS technique with the traditional non-surgical options. As a charter member of the Society of Robotic Surgery, I’m passionate about promoting the advantages of robotic surgery practices and making advancements that will greatly impact our patients here at the OSUCCC – The James.
