Head and Neck Oncologic Surgeon – Academic Opportunity

 

The University of South Florida Department of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Surgery is seeking a fellowship trained Head & Neck Oncologic Surgeon to join our national recognized team.

This position is open to candidates at the Assistant or Associate Professor level and offers flexibility to support a wide range of professional interests, including ablative oncologic surgery, microvascular reconstruction, and clinician-scientist career paths.  Our current team includes three busy Head & Neck/Microvascular surgeons, and we are seeing a collaborative partner who is passionate about multidisciplinary care and eager to contribute to a dynamic academic environment.

About Us

The USF and Tampa General Head and Neck Oncology program is one of the region’s leading academic cancer centers. Our team integrates expertise across surgical oncology, microvascular reconstruction, medical and radiation oncology, and rehabilitation services to deliver personalized, high-impact care for patients with complex head and neck conditions.

You’ll join a collaborative team of three high-volume Head & Neck/Microvascular surgeons within a dynamic academic department and a rapidly growing cancer institute. We’re seeking a colleague who brings complementary strengths—clinical, research, or educational—and shares our mission to improve outcomes and quality of life for patients with complex head and neck conditions.

Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible Otolaryngologist with fellowship training in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery
  • Strong interest in academic medicine, multidisciplinary care, and program development
  • Research experience or aspirations are welcome but not required
