Deaconess Specialty Physicians/Cancer Service Line

Deaconess Specialty Physicians is seeking a fellowship-trained Head & Neck Cancer Surgeon to join our growing, multidisciplinary Cancer Service Line. This is a unique opportunity to practice high-acuity surgical oncology in a collaborative, resource-rich environment.

Position Highlights

  • Guaranteed Base Salary: $525,000 for the first 12 months, plus quality incentive bonus
  • Lucrative Compensation Model: Productivity-based earnings with investment opportunity in the Evansville Surgery Center (joint venture with Deaconess and community surgeons)
  • Sign-On Bonus: $100K for experienced surgeons; $50K for those with <3 years’ experience; training stipends available for current fellows

Ideal Candidate

  • BC/BE in Otolaryngology
  • AHNS-accredited fellowship in Head & Neck Oncology Surgery
  • 3+ years’ experience preferred (open to current fellows)
  • Research experience encouraged with support to launch clinical trials

  Integrated Cancer Care Team

  • Join our growing Head & Neck Cancer Program with embedded services within the cancer center:
  • Dedicated APP
  • Head & Neck Nurse Navigator
  • Speech Pathologist, Dietician, Social Work, PM&R, Palliative Care

Multidisciplinary Excellence

  • Work alongside a team of experts from various specialties to provide patient-centered and comprehensive care to our patients with a Head and Neck/Cutaneous tumor board already established.
  • All services under one roof: medical/surgical oncology, infusion, radiation oncology
  • Other specialized tumor boardsinclude GU, GI, Gyn, Thoracic, Breast, Neuro, and Hematologic Malignancies
  • Powered by Epic + Beacon EMR

Practice Locations

  • Deaconess Clinic Midtown & Gateway Campuses
  • Inpatient and outpatient integrated practice with NP/PA support

📞 Call Structure

  • Head/Neck cancer call coverage with APP support.
  • Other options possible - based on surgeon preference and experience for ENT facial/trauma call shared with established ENT program.
