Dr. Li specializes in treating head and neck cancers, thyroid and parathyroid diseases, and performing complex reconstructions of head and neck wounds and deformities. He has advanced training in microvascular reconstruction that allows tissues from elsewhere on the body to be transferred to the head and neck where skin, muscle, or bone need to be restored.

Dr. Li is devoted to working alongside patients and their loved ones through their treatments. Together with the multidisciplinary head and neck cancer team, he surrounds patients with gentle, clear and comprehensive care. Dr. Li and the team are dedicated to being patient advocates continually in the years after they complete treatment, to ensure the best quality of life they can achieve.

In his spare time, Dr. Li enjoys the time spent with his wife, Myriam Loyo Li, also a member of the OHSU family, in her role as a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He relishes the company of his extended family spread out over Mexico, Canada, Hong Kong and the eastern United States. Tennis, running, indoor wall climbing and hiking are his hobbies as he enjoys what beautiful Oregon has to offer.
