Mark Jameson, MD, PhD, FACS is a head and neck surgical oncologist with special training in advanced head and neck reconstructive techniques.  He completed his BA degree in Biology and Chemistry in 1992 at Point Loma Nazarene College.  In 2001, he obtained an MD and PhD in Cell & Molecular Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at the Medical University of South Carolina.  Dr. Jameson completed his residency training in 2006 at the University of Virginia and went on to complete a Head & Neck Surgery fellowship at the University of Iowa in 2007.  Dr. Jameson then accepted a faculty position at UVA which he held for almost 15 years, ultimately serving as Director of Head and Neck Oncologic and Microvascular Surgery and Co-Leader of the Head and Neck/Endocrine Cancer Team in the UVA Emily Couric Clinical Cancer Center.  In February 2022, Dr. Jameson assumed the role of Medical Director for Otolaryngology - Head & Neck Surgery Services at Avera McKennan Hospital & University Health Center in Sioux Falls, SD.
