Dr. William S. Duke earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency in the US Army. After his military career, Dr. Duke completed a fellowship in Advanced Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery at Georgia Regents University (GRU).  He was appointed to Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology and Endocrinology and served as the Associate Surgical Director of the GRU Thyroid and Parathyroid Center for 3 years.

He is a thyroid and parathyroid ultrasound instructor for the American College of Surgeons and a member of both the American Thyroid Association and the Endocrine Surgery Committee of the American Academy of Otolaryngology.  In addition to authoring over 40 scientific papers and book chapters, Dr. Duke has published two books on endocrine surgery and has been named to Best Doctors in America.  He is currently a thyroid and parathyroid surgeon in the Otolaryngology Department of MultiCare Health System in Tacoma, WA.
