Ryan H. Sobel, MD is a fellowship-trained head & neck oncologic surgeon and robotic surgeon. Dr. Sobel is the Director of Head and Neck Cancer at Broward Health, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Previously, Dr. Sobel practiced at Johns Hopkins Head & Neck Surgery located at the Milton J. Dance, Jr. Head and Neck Center at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He completed his fellowship in Advanced Training in Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Sobel specializes in all benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck including: thyroid, parathyroid, oral cavity, tongue, lips, jaw, oropharynx (throat), larynx (voice box), salivary glands, and advanced skin cancers such as malignant melanoma.

Dr. Sobel has a clinical interest in the evaluation and treatment of neck masses and HPV-related squamous cell carcinoma of the oropharynx. He is specially-trained in minimally-invasive surgical approaches in head and neck surgery, including TransOral Robotic Surgery (TORS).  He is also a published author and frequent presenter on topics involving head and neck surgery and research.
