Dr. James Wu is a board-certified Endocrine Surgeon and Assistant Professor of Surgery at UCLA. After completing general surgery residency at UCLA, he pursued advanced training in Complex Head and Neck Oncologic Surgery at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Dr. Wu is devoted to caring for patients with thyroid cancer, from active surveillance of low-risk tumors to aggressive surgery as part of multi-disciplinary care for complex disease. He is also interested in caring for patients with parathyroid disease and adrenal tumors. An avid researcher and educator, Dr. Wu’s work has been published in peer-reviewed medical journals and surgical texts. Dr. Wu is a member of the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons and serves on the editorial board of Video Endocrinology.
