Brittny N. Tillman, M.D., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She specializes in the surgical treatment of cancerous and benign conditions of the head, neck, mouth, and throat as well as microvascular reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Tillman earned her medical degree at the University of Texas at Houston Medical School. She completed a five-year otolaryngology residency and a fellowship in advanced head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery at University of Michigan Hospitals and Health Centers. She also holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in biomedical science from Texas A&M University.

Dr. Tillman is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology. She also has certification in the use of ultrasound guided procedures.

Dr. Tillman has published a number of scholarly articles and contributed to two book chapters. She serves as a faculty advisor for UT Southwestern Medical School’s Otolaryngology Student Interest Group.

Her many honors include the Michigan Otolaryngologic Society’s Walter M. Belenky, MD Resident Research Award and the American Head and Neck Society’s Best Resident Basic Science Research Paper Award, both in 2015. She was also awarded the American Medical Association Foundation’s Physicians of Tomorrow Scholarship in 2010.

Dr. Tillman is a member of professional organizations that include the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, and the American Head and Neck Society.

In 2019, Dr. Tillman was named a Texas Monthly Super Doctor Rising Star.
