Ofer Azoulay, MD, is an otolaryngologist, head and neck surgical oncologist, and microvascular reconstructive surgeon at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey, where he is expanding a high acuity head and neck oncology and reconstruction practice. He provides comprehensive surgical care for benign and malignant disease of the upper aerodigestive tract, thyroid and parathyroid, major salivary glands, and skin of the head and neck. His operative focus includes complex oncologic resection, transoral robotic surgery, and microvascular reconstruction, with a consistent emphasis on functional recovery, particularly swallowing, speech, airway, and facial nerve outcomes. His clinical and academic interests also include facial nerve paralysis, facial reanimation, and objective outcomes measurement in reconstruction. Previously, he practiced in Brooklyn, New York, including SUNY Downstate and affiliated hospitals. Dr. Azoulay earned his medical degree and completed otolaryngology residency training at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Kaplan Medical Center in Israel. He pursued subspecialty fellowship training in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstruction at NYU Langone Health in New York.
