Dr. Anne Kane is an Associate Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed residency training in Otolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery at LSUHSC New Orleans and went on to pursue fellowship training in Advanced Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at Thomas Jefferson University.

Dr. Kane specializes in head and neck surgical oncology and microvascular reconstruction, including minimally invasive procedures such as transoral robotic surgery (TORS) and transoral laser microsurgery (TLM). She has authored several dozen peer-reviewed scientific articles and textbook chapters on topics related to head and neck cancer and reconstructive surgery. She is a recipient of the Triological Society Career Development Award. Her research interests include clinical outcomes in head and neck surgical oncology, particularly those related to health disparities and population health.
