Dr. Ciarán Lane, MD, MSc, FRCSC is a clinician‑scientist and faculty member affiliated with The Ottawa Hospital and the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine, and serves as a Clinician Investigator in the Cancer Research Program at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI), where he contributes to advancing clinical trials in cancer care and head and neck oncology.
Dr. Lane is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) with a clinical specialty in head and neck surgical oncology. His academic role at the University of Ottawa includes mentoring surgical fellows in head and neck oncology and residents in otolaryngology.
His research portfolio encompasses a broad range of head and neck oncology topics, including functional outcomes after cancer treatments, survivorship challenges in head and neck cancer patients, and systematic evaluations of surgical techniques and reconstructions.
