I am a Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon specializing in Reconstructive Oncology, Microvascular Surgery, and Head and Neck Reconstruction. I completed my fellowship training in Microvascular Reconstruction and Reconstructive Oncology at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, where I developed a strong interest in complex oncologic defects and advanced reconstructive techniques.
Currently, I serve as Consultant Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Shri Shankara Cancer Hospital, Bengaluru, where I established the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and developed a multidisciplinary reconstructive oncology program. My clinical practice focuses on head and neck reconstruction, breast reconstruction, lymphedema surgery, and microvascular free tissue transfer.
My academic interests include innovations in head and neck reconstruction, particularly infratemporal fossa reconstruction, zygomatic implant-based rehabilitation, and functional restoration following extensive oncologic resections. I have worked on novel reconstructive approaches addressing the often-overlooked three-dimensional volume deficits of the infratemporal fossa and have published and presented research on zygomatic implant-supported free flap reconstruction.
I am also actively involved in translational research and artificial intelligence applications in reconstructive surgery, including the development of predictive models for free flap outcomes and re-exploration. Through clinical innovation, research, and education, I remain committed to advancing reconstructive oncology and improving quality of life for cancer survivors.
