CURRENT POSITION:
Vincent Vander Poorten, MD, PhD, MSc (Epid): Consultant, Full Professor and Clinical Head of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at the University Hospitals Leuven, Leuven, Belgium; Section head of the section Head and Neck Oncology of the Department of Oncology of the faculty of Medicine at KU Leuven.

The Netherlands Epidemiological Society, The Royal Belgian Society for Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, the Netherlands Society for Otorhinolaryngology and Cervicofacial Surgery, AHNS and its Endocrine Section, Flemish Head and Neck Society, IAOO, IHNSG, IFHNOS, ESGS, EAFPS, IAES, AOCMF, BAHNO, and the EHNS. Dr. Alfredo Santillan-Gomez is fellowship-trained in surgical oncology, after 5 years of training as a general surgeon. He pursued a career in oncology, focusing his training in the field of complex surgical oncology for an additional 2 years. Dr. Alfredo was trained in prestigious hospitals such as MD Anderson and the Moffitt Cancer Care Center, where he acquired specific knowledge and skills related to the diagnosis, treatment and overall care for the patients with cancer.

Dr. Alfredo Santillan-Gomez is a recognized leader in endocrine surgery not only in the San Antonio area, but across the country. He is considered a High Volume Thyroid Surgeon in the San Antonio area with more than 100 thyroid surgeries performed per year. He is a member of the prestigious American Association of Endocrine Surgery and the American Head and Neck Society.

Biography/Statement

Dr. Ryan Winters is a dual fellowship-trained, double Board-Certified Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgeon and Head & Neck Oncologic Surgeon, and focuses his practice exclusively on Head and Neck Oncology and Craniofacial Surgery/Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Winters graduated with international emphasis from the Honors College of Washington State University with a degree in genetics and cell biology and his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Vermont. He completed his residency in Head and Neck Surgery and Otolaryngology at Tulane University, then completed fellowships in Craniofacial Surgery and Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery at the State University of New York in Syracuse, treating both children and adults with complex congenital and acquired conditions of the head and neck, and in Head & Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Winters is an active member of Médecins Sans Frontières/Doctors Without Borders, and has volunteered his expertise overseas in Haiti, Mexico, Nigeria, Peru, Guinea, and India.

Biography/Statement

I was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago and completed my education nearby. My education started with a bachelors in science in Electrical Engineering followed by IT consulting for 3 years. As I knew medicine was in my future, I went on to complete medical school and residency at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary and a Fellowship in Head and Neck Oncology and Reconstructive Surgery at Northwestern University. Now I am full time in private practice at Century ENT.

Dr. Yarlagadda obtained his medical education at the Albany Medical College and went on to training in the Boston area. His residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery was completed at the Boston Medical Center followed by a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology and Microvascular Reconstruction at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. His interests include management of benign and malignant head and neck tumors, microvascular reconstruction of the head and neck, endocrine surgery, skull base surgery, treatment and reconstruction of cutaneous malignancy, and robotic surgery of the head and neck.
