AHNS 2021 Mucosal Section Committee Self-Nominations

We would like to invite members of the section to self-nominate for the Value/Quality of Care, Research, Education, and Website/Social Media Committees.  The roles of the committees are as follows:

Research:  Initiate and support research in the management of mucosal head and neck cancers including multi-institutional studies.

Education: Develop educational content for patients, trainees, and head and neck surgeon members.  Examples: patient handouts, surgical videos, webinars, virtual tumor boards, journal clubs.

Website/Social Media: Increase engagement with other organizations involved in the treatment of mucosal head and neck cancers (examples: AAO-HNS, ASCO, Head and Neck Cancer Alliance).  Develop the AHNS Mucosal Gland Section website as a resource for patients, trainees and head and neck surgeon members.  Promote Mucosal section initiatives through social media.

Value and Quality of Care: Develop metrics reflecting quality of care for patients with mucosal head and neck cancers

Committees will generally meet virtually, with ongoing work in between.

If you are interested, please respond by Friday, October 29, 2021.
