AHNS Mentorship Program

Application Deadline: April 7, 2025

We are pleased to open the AHNS Mentoring Program for applications from both Mentee and Mentor participation. The AHNS proudly has a long history of fostering formal and informal mentoring relationships that are invaluable for head and neck cancer specialists as they journey through their careers and navigate many other opportunities in life. The wisdom of experience from AHNS mentors has brought clarity, humanity, and direction to many AHNS mentees at various points in their careers.

A successful mentoring program will require engagement from both mentors and mentees. We ask you to strongly consider applying to the Mentoring Program in one of these roles (or both if you seek mentorship and to serve as a mentor!).

ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY AS A MENTOR:

  • AHNS Active Member Status
  • Ability to commit to quarterly mentoring meetings (many or all of which can be virtual) with your mentee
  • Commitment to a face-to-face mentoring meeting with your mentee at the AHNS COSM Meeting if you are attending the meeting in person.

ELIGIBILITY TO APPLY AS A MENTEE:

  • AHNS Active Member or Resident Member Status (future cycles of this program may including medical students as well)
  • Ability to commit to quarterly mentoring meetings (many or all of which can be virtual) with your mentor
  • Commitment to a face-to-face mentoring meeting with your mentor at the AHNS COSM Meeting if you are attending the meeting in person.

Below are the links to submit a brief application to participate in this program. This application should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete. The AHNS Mentoring Program faculty will match mentors and mentees promptly as applications are received.
