The Cutaneous Cancer Section of the AHNS is now accepting self-nominations for several positions in the Section’s leadership group. We are filling two existing positions and have created two new positions. If you are interested in engaging with the section in a leadership position, we encourage you review the job descriptions below – and apply!

Available Positions
Two Existing Positions:
The Education Chair for the Cutaneous Cancer Section of the AHNS is responsible for coordinating the education activities and endeavors for the section. Below is a list of the specific responsibilities required of this position and recent activities that the Education Chair has overseen:
- Attend regular cutaneous cancer section planning meetings and provide progress updates for education activities
- Develop new education initiatives annually that contribute to the cutaneous cancer section mission.
- Oversee the development, maintenance, and updating of educational materials on the AHNS website that relate to the Cutaneous Cancer Section.
- Coordinate recurring educational endeavors in which the cutaneous section is involved. These have included, but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the creation of the Cutaneous section issue of the AHNS Journal Club (May installment, during Skin Cancer Awareness Month)
- AHNS Webinars – coordination of presenters and topics; work with staff on promotion of the event
Research Chair for the Cutaneous Cancer Section of AHNS is responsible for overseeing research activities sponsored by the section. The charge of the Research Chair is to leverage the cutaneous cancer section and AHNS membership to propose, develop, and oversee impactful research projects that will improve the diagnosis and treatment of cutaneous cancers.
Two New Positions:
The Guidelines Chair will oversee the proposal and development of AHNS Guideline Papers related to the cutaneous cancer section, which include Narrative Reviews, Position Papers, Clinical Consensus Statements, and Clinical Practice Guidelines. The Guidelines Chair will propose and develop concepts for new guidelines, as well as receive and vet new concepts from members of the Cutaneous Section and AHNS. The guidelines chair will be responsible for reviewing all new proposals and active projects with the leadership committee of the Cutaneous Cancer Section.
The Mentorship Chair will be responsible for fostering mentorship opportunities within the Cutaneous Cancer Section. The mentorship chair will engage with new section members and early career members along with more senior and established members in the Cutaneous Cancer Section. The Mentorship chair will cultivate opportunities for networking and engagement.
