POSITION SUMMARY:  Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI) seeks an experienced head and neck surgeon to join the Head and Neck Cancer Program with two fellowship-trained head & neck surgeons in a high-volume clinical practice

 PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Comprehensive Head & Neck Program providing care to patients with complex malignant and benign tumors of the mouth, tongue, throat, larynx, neck salivary glands, thyroid, parathyroid and skin throughout the Southeast
  • Full complement of sub-specialty trained PA-C support, including first-assist in operating room
  • Dedicated support team, including on-site speech-language pathologist, oncology dietitians, genetic counselors and social workers
  • Latest technology, including DaVinci SP robot system currently in use
  • Robust interdisciplinary cancer conference held weekly
  • Participate in clinical research trials and multidisciplinary activities
  • Large and diverse referral base drawing on patients from throughout the Southeast

 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Board-certified in otolaryngology
  • Fellowship trained: head and neck and microvascular surgical oncology
  • Greater than three (3) years of clinical experience preferred.  New graduates are invited to apply

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The ideal candidate will offer a proven background focused on program growth and multidisciplinary teamwork combined with experience in the use of advanced technologies and surgical innovations to build upon and support the Program’s commitment to excellent outcomes for patients and their families. This individual will collaborate with Northside physicians, clinicians, and administrators to create and maintain a culture of patient centeredness – emphasizing quality, safety, and efficiency while actively promoting NHCI’s multidisciplinary approach to patient care as a local, regional, and national leader in innovation and collaboration.

NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL CANCER INSTITUTE

Over the past decade, Northside has established a reputation of excellence in oncology. Northside Hospital Cancer Institute (NHCI) has become one of the largest and most respected providers of cancer care in the Southeast, with over 15,000 new cancer cases in 2023 and services provided at over 55 locations. The NHCI is accredited by the American College of Surgeon’s Commission on Cancer as an Integrated Network Cancer Program and is recognized for providing high-quality, comprehensive cancer care, including screening, diagnosis, research, treatment, and support services. In 2014, NHCI was awarded a grant as one of only 34 community sites nationwide to lead a National Cancer Institute Community Oncology Program (NCORP). The Georgia NCORP is dedicated to providing patients throughout the state with access to clinical trials while remaining in their local community.
